PTI Stamp-A-Faire Challenge 8

Ok, the last one before heading to bed :)

I had so much fun making the cards this evening/this night! Thanks so much PTI!!

Made this a Christmas one and wow... I totally love this one and will defenately be making cards like this one a lot to send to family, friends etc. for Christmas. It's one you can make within 10 minutes *seriously here!!*
As a base I used the red cardstock, trimmed 1" from the front, added some green cardstock behind, stitched some, stamped the images, cut them out, adhered them, stamped the sentiment, voila... *een kind kan de was doen* ;)

So here you have Challenge 8:
I thought I would challenge you to create a card with an front cover that is cut back by an inch or so.

PTI item: sentiment stamp ("Signature Christmas")

Thank you so much for coming over!!
Please take a look at the other cards I made for the Stamp-A-Faire, by clicking here for challenges 1, 2 and 3 and click here for challenges 5, 6, 7 and 9.

See you later! :)

PTI Stamp-A-Faire Challenges 5, 6, 7 and 9

Hi there (again *lol*)!

Please scroll down for the other cards I made for the PTI challenges tonight/this early morning!

Here we have the cards I came up with for challenges 5, 6, 7 and 9. As you noticed, I didn't so challenge 4. It was a color one and I really need to make this by daylight, not in the middle of the night ;)

Anyways... here we go...

Challenge 5:
create your own custom "faux" border.

PTI items: sentiment stamp ("Signature Greetings"), image stamps (faux border done with "Cupcake collection", "Grunge Me")

I combined the following card with the following challenges:

Challenge 6:
Your challenge this afternoon is to use the little notch technique to hold twine or ribbon in place across the cover of your project.
Challenge 9:
Your challenge is to look at your stamps in a new way, turn them, rotate them at new angles and see if YOU can come up with anything unique!

PTI item: Image stamp ("Grunge Me"-set). I think that swirl looks like a snail :)

Challenge 7:
Your challenge is to have a "play date" with your stamps and discover 2 or 3 images from different sets that layer together in a surprising way.

This actually is the birthdaycard I made for my brother who will celebrate it today.

PTI items: Stamps (sentiment from "Enjoy the ride", car and sentiment on it by "Enjoy the ride" and the stars on the car are from "Cupcake Collection")

Thanks again for coming over! :)

PTI Stamp-A-Faire Challenges 1, 2 and 3

Over at Nichole Heady's blog it's PTI Stamp-A-Faire time and wow... they came up with some awesome challenges.
And I defenately say challenges as I don't own that many PTI sets, but I have to say I really like to challenge myself using them in different ways :)

It's over 2.00 am right now, but writing this (and the other blogposts) so I can go to bed with a good feeling :)

Anyways... here are challenge 1, 2 and 3.

Challenge 1:
Create a project featuring patterned strips that are created with some of your favorite decorative elements.
I just looooooooove patterned papers, so I used them and I also like stripes and dots a lot, so it was an easy one :)

PTI items: sentiment stamp (Up, Up & Away)

Challenge 2:
We would love to see YOUR take on pairing up a hot pink, like Raspberry Fizz, with a charcoal grey (like Smokey Shadow)

PTI items: stamps (sentiment from "Signature Greetings" and image "Grunge Me")

Challenge 3:
Punch a window from you card cover and tie ribbon or twine from the window to the side of your card.

PTI Item: Beautiful Blooms II #1 die

Thank you very much for coming over! See you later! :)

BasicGrey challenge: A sketch

Hi there!

It's time for another challenge at the BasicGrey Challenges blog. This time Heather made a sketch for us to follow. I turned it.
I wanted to make a Christmascard as it's "just" around the corner, only 5 more months before the tree will be here in my house with all the decorations as well. But this also means it's time to send the cards, so I'm making them all year round.
This card is made with the BasicGrey Jovial 6x6 paperpad. Oh... I just looooooooove those papers, those colors are my true Christmasfeeling: Red (which is my fave one in general as well) and Green. Giving me the "old fashioned" Christmasfeeling.

Anyways... here's the card:

Guess what I will (hopefully) be doing tonight???

Whoooooooowhooooooooooooo....

This is just soooooooooooooo off topic what I normally post, but tonight is finally the night I've been waiting for since 16 years!
I will be seeing Take That in concert. Not just a concert, but finally, after 16 years... I will see them all together again: Robbie Williams (think he's the biggest entertainer and singer), Mark Owen (he's sooo cute *whoops... did I just say that??*), Gary Barlow (great songwriter), Howard Donald and Jason Orange (both great dancers).
Oh my oh my oh my.... whoowhoooooooooooo..

Saw them 3 years ago as a foursome (actually threesome as Howard was ill, but the others did the show) and have been to Robbie's concerts loads of times (playing in little places with just 750 people to places with over 60.000 people). So this would be sooooooo great to see them all together again and sing along with all those amazing songs :)

I will be there with my brother. Very special as he's really not into them, but he said to me he knows all their lyrics because of me *hehehe*

I will defenately be enjoying myself.

Relight my fire.... whoowhoooooooooooooooooo.... Shine.... lalalallalalaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

So I sceduled this post and I will be on my way to the Amsterdam Arena.
I sooooooooo hope this concert will go on, as their concert was cancelled last Saturday because Rob has a food poisoning :(
Seriously... I want him to become better first, before hitting the stage (though I must admit I really, really don't like it...). But we'll just have to wait and see :)

Will keep you updated :) Off to (hopefully) an awesome party :)

GDT Scrapdelight Magnolia Sweet Rainbow card

Hi en welkom!

Today I like to show you a card I made for Scrapdelight, the scrapshop I love the most. Sorry the text is Dutch...

BasicGrey Challenges: Doilies and ribbon

Hi there and welcome!

Have you read my last post?? :) I'm still jumping up and down, so happy!!
Anyways... it's time for another BasicGrey Challenge, this time: Doilies and Ribbon.
Doilies are the "latest thing" in the cardmaking world and I have to say I just don't really like them, so this was a challenge for me ;)
Got a "cheap" doily from one of my familymembers, so THANK YOU!!
So it was a challenge...

But working with ribbon... I can't live without it! I just loooooooooooooove it!

So here you have my card with something I probably will not use again and something I use all the time:

And a detailphoto:

So... please let me know what you think about me working with doilies *I promise I won't bite!* ;)

Thank you very much for coming over, but don't forget to see what the other DT-members have created at the BasicGrey Challenges blog. And I would like to invite you to play along!

See you later!
