MCM #10 Merry Christmas Monday

Hi there and welcome back to another Merry Christmas Monday.

Today I like to show you a card where I made the background by stamping 3 stamps and stamping a sentiment on another piece of paper. Love this technique.
Very simple, but effective.. love it! :)

Thanks so much for coming over. See you next week for another MCM :)

Spectrum Noir: Creating Shadows

Hi there!

Today is another day for me to show you a tutorial on the Spectrum Noir blog.
It's about creating shadows. It's a tutorial I made specially with people in mind feeling overwhelmed to create shadows on their projects, thinking "Oh... I can't do it... it's way too complicated!", but you're wrong and I like to show you there how you create shadows like on this stamped image:
Vandaag is de dag dat er weer een tutorial van mij op het Spectrum Noir blog te zien is.
Ditmaal gaat het om het maken van schaduw. Het is een tutorial die ik speciaal voor mensen heb gemaakt die het erg overweldigend vinden om schaduw op hun projecten te maken en denken "Oh... Ik kan dat niet, dat is veel te ingewikkeld!", maar dat is niet waar en ik wil graag laten zien hoe je nu schaduw kunt maken zoals bijv. bij dit afdrukje:

Yeah.. it's quite basic, but for people not knowing how to create it, it's just fine :)
So please hop on over to the Spectrum Noir blog for more information. Thanks!

Thanks for coming over and hope to see you later.

Stamp-a-Faire's final projects

Hi there and welcome (back!)

Today I like to show you 2 more projects I made for Stamp-a-Faire 2012.
First I like to show you a card I just cased from the one I already made on Saturday, which you can find overhere.
I just loooooooved the colorcombo I used and also the outcome of it, so I just basically did the same, only instead of pleading the ribbon, I made a bow. LOVE IT! :)

I also made a nice cardset, including a decorated box.
It consists of 4 different kind of cards, but with the same layout.
Here's the box...

And here are the cards:

Thanks so much for coming over and PTI... thanks so much for this great online event I had.
Got me inspired a lot and let me using my supplies in different ways I normall use. Thanks!

Hope to see you later on!

SAF Challenge #3: Limited supplies

Aloha!

This is my last project for today. Really tired at the moment and tomorrow there's a brand new day :)
For this challenge we were challenged to use a floral stampset (yeah.. I used Rosie Posie again!), some colors of cardstock, some ink, ribbon and buttons.
I took away the buttons. Love these kind of challenges. Less defenately is more!
And this is the card I made:

Thanks for coming over today and hope to see you around tomorrow... got some more projects to do ;)

SAF Challenge 2: Mini Album technique

Hi there *again*  LOL

Back with another project made today, a mini-album.
We could choose between several kind of mini-albums and I choose the one with the tag and library envelope.
Made it a Christmasone, so I can easily put my photos on the backside of the tags. No hussle, very easy.
So here you have it... Scraplifted a lot and even this ribbon was made after watching the video.

Thanks again for coming and hope to see you later on. More in the making ;)

SAF Challenge #1 Ribbon technique

Hi there *again*

First "official" challenge completed: Ribbon technique. Really had fun using this technique. As I wanted to use Ashley's technique, I didn't want it with a flower, but just a straight line on my card.

And this is what I made with the technique...

Used the same colors as last post, same goes for the stampset, exept for the leaves and sentiment.
Ok, off for another challenge.

Thanks for coming over and see you later on! :)

Make-n-Take challenge #1

Hi there and am back :)

Here's my take on the PTI Make-n-Take. It was time to use my Rosie Posie-set for the first time ever.
Can you believe it?? I've been in love with this set for quite a while now and wow.... after using it for the first time I'm totally in looooooooooove with it.
It's just so simple making a background as a cardbase.
You will defenately see Rosie Posie a lot more today :)

Used a fave colorcombo of mine at the moment... very tropical :)
Yeah... I already love today. Thanks PTI!!

Now I'm off creating again... ribbon is next. See you later!

Today's THE Day: PTI Stamp-a-Faire

Hi there!

Today is THE Day I've longing for for a couple of months.
It's Stamp-A-Fair at PTI. Participated last year as well (they had a meeting in USA, but I was able to work online as well) and had so much fun, so I'm joining in again today/tomorrow. So today it's ME-time. Working from 1 pm CET till around 2 am CET tomorrowmorning with things I looooooooove: Stamps, papers and ink.
This year it's an online event, so just perfect for people all across the world. Already seen people from Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Denmark and USA online, WOW!!
I will be celebrating today with my 2 cats who are still sleeping *whoop whoop*
Check back later today for the projects I made. Thanks!

Happy Camping! :)

Spectrum Noir blog hop Christmas in July meets Basic Grey Challenges Things with wings

Hi there and welcome to a new Spectrum Noir blog hop.

The theme is "Christmas in July" and ohhhhhhhh.. I just loooooooove making Christmascards all year long, so this is just perfect for me :)
As I was browsing through my stamps, this stamp was also the perfect fit for this fortnight's BasicGrey Challenge: Things with wings.

A few members of the Spectrum Noir team have gotten together to celebrate Christmas in July!  We have an inspiration-filled blog hop today, along with a few great prizes!  If you have arrived here from Suzanne's blog, you are in the right place.  If not, pop over to the Spectrum Noir blog so you don't miss a thing!

And this is the project I made. It was sooooooooo hard to come up with the perfect stamp, but thought it was time to use these ones again :)
So here you have my Christmas in July project...
Dus hier is mijn Christmas in July project...

I used the following Spectrum Noir markers:
Ik heb de volgende Spectrum Noir markers gebruikt:
Skin/huid: FS 1,2,3,4,8, CR3 (cheeks)
Hair/haar: GB1,4,6,7
Clothes/kleding: DR1,2,3,4, EB2
NOEL: BT1,3,4,5, EB2
Ground/grond: EB1,2
Shadows/schaduw: BT1,2

I wanted the red and BT-markers having a bit of a brownish color in it, so I went over those colors with EB2. It was just perfect :)

We hope you've been checking out the Spectrum Noir blog - it is full of great tutorials, techniques, and other projects from our design team.  If you haven't been over there, go take a look!  Before we get to the rest of the hop today, let's have a little fun.  How about a prize?  Spectrum Noir is going to award one lucky winner two sets of six markers, a pack of Crafter's Companion Ultra Smooth Premium White card stock (perfect for coloring!), and an adorable stamp called All Wrapped Up, from the new Mulberry Wood line.

WNW: New technique

Hi there and welcome to another Wags'nWhiskers challenge.
This time the theme is "New technique".

Even though I've done this technique many times, it was the first time to actually combine it with a stamped image of a "person-like"-image.
I used a sheet (got it as packaging for a product, see... I have a lot and someday it somes in handy *lol*), stamped on it with some alcohol inks, stamped the image on the other side with StazOn and used the Tim Holtz blending solution on the alcohol inks side to undo the skin of the image.
Putting a blush-colored cardstock behind the sheet so her skin wouldn't be blue or white like the other cardstocks I used, some stickles and voila... here you have it....

Another tip: You really should stamp on the other side where you used your alcohol ink. As you can see in the image, the sentiment isn't exactly nicely stamped.

Thanks very much for coming over. Please check out the Wags'nWhiskers challengeblog for more information. Thanks :)

Christmas Challenges {with sketches} #33

Hi there and welcome to another Christmas Challenges {with Sketches} and this week it's the Snow Angel's turn to post their cards.

This week Miranda made the sketch.
I turned the sketch and put the sentiment on another place, added some ribbon, a punched border and some embellies and this is the result I got...

It always is such a difficult job to pick a stamp for these challenges as I adore all my Christmasstamps so very, very much. I just love them all and Christmaspapers.... oh... don't start about that one *lol*
Every year I tell myself I have way too many Christmaspapers left from the year before and before and before, but every year I catch myself buying some new lovely papers. It doesn't help red and green being my fave colors, eh?! Ah well...

The sponsor this week is HeinDesign.

Thanks very much for coming over. Please check out the projects the other DT-members have made on the Christmas Challenges {with Sketches} blog.

See you later!

Challenges:
- Totally Gorjuss: It's Christmas
- Magnolia-Licious Highlights: Christmas
- Dutch Magnolia Chickies: Anything goes
- Magnolia Stamp Lovers: Tilda only

Already done with this year's Christmascards, but am making them on order now for people. So if you like to have some cards.... just let me know :)

Today I made a card which I made with loads of scraps and one of my old time favorite SU Christmas stampsets. Love using this one over and over again.
And when you put those items together, you get something like this:

Thank you very much for coming over. There will be more Christmascards from me this week, so hope you will join me again :)

Will be using this tag for someone's birthday. Don't you just loooooooove the sentiment?? :)

At home I'm in my Summercleaningmood. Cleaned my kitchen big time and found some items I thought I had lost. So I'm quite happy.

Thanks so much for coming over and hope to see you later this week. Got some more planned :)

Spectrum Noir DT: Making backgrounds

Hi there and welcome to another Spectrum Noir post from me.

On the Spectrum Noir blog you can find the info how I made today's card.
Unfortunately sometimes life isn't easy and you have to send sympathy cards. I always make them when I don't need them, so I can grab one when needed (oh yeah... getting emotional when I have to make one at the moment supreme).

I made today's card with my Spectrum Noir markers, a die, a stamp and 3 pieces of cardstock (white, grey and black). That's all :)
Here you have it...
Hierbij mijn kaart...

Thanks so much for coming over!
Please visit the Spectrum Noir blog for mor information how I made this card with the markers.

Used 2 different SU stampsets which I looooooooooooove using for my Christmascards and am really glad I bought them a few years ago when they were released.

Thanks so much for coming over and hope to see you later.

WNW: Red, white and blue

Hi there and welcome to another Wags'nWhiskers Challenge.

Hopefully the American people visiting my humble space in cyberspace had a wonderfull 4th July!

Wow... what a response to the DT-call we had on the challengeblog. Can't wait to work with my new teamies! *whoopwhoop*

Today starts a new challenge: Red, White, Blue. Love this colorcombo a lot, must be the fact I live in The Netherlands and our national flag is red, white and blue :)

Anyways... back to the challenge... here's the card I made:

Stamped the image directly onto my white cardstock and colored her with my Spectrum Noirs, but also paperpieced her skirt and shirt.

Thank you so much for coming over and hope to see you later on. More to come these days, so stay tuned ;)

Oh... and please visit the Wags'nWhiskers challengeblog to participate as well :)
