Instyle Stamps Blog Hop

Hi there and welcome to the Instyle Stamps April Blog Hop!

If it's correct, you came here through Raquel's blog. If not, please start at the Instyle Stamps Blog to follow this amazing Blog hop!
And amazing it is!

This month the theme is "Mother's Day".
As I don't want to forget the Mothers who are pregnant of their child, I created this card.
As they are already a mother, expecting another child, or they will become a mother for the first time.

So here it is....

Digital stamp: Lucy (Instyle Stamps); Cardstock: Bazzill; Patterned papers: Tilda; Ribbon: Stampin'Up; Baubles: StampingBella; Pen: ZIG; Coloring medium: Copics

I will be sending this to someone special...... She's expecting her first child, so I thought this Mother's Day 2010 would be a perfect occasion to send her a card.

Anyways....

Hop on over to Jodi's blog. She has created something amazing as well :)

But.... don't forget to leave a message at the Instyle Stamps Blog who you think has created the most creative/beautiful item.
You can win a prize, but the DT-member can also win one.
You can leave a message untill Saturday 1st May 11:59 PM PST (dat is zondagochtend 8:59 Europese/Nederlandse tijd)
Wanna know the prize... hop on over to the Instyle Stamps Blog.

Happy Hopping :)

Digital Delights Challenge "Punch"

Today it's challenge time over at Digital Delights' Sketches and Challenge blog.
This time the theme is "Punches".

Made this card...

Digital Image: Digital Delights Little Red Riding Hood; Cardstock, punches and ribbon: Stampin; Up; Patterned paper: October Afternoon; Coloring medium: Copic markers; Baubles: StampingBella; Button and thread: own stash

I used 3 kind of punches: Border punch, scalloped circle punch and circle punches (different sizes). Layered the punched circles on top of the scalloped circle and added a button with thread. I also wrinkled the circles before I glued them together for a bit of an altered look.

Thanks for joining me, and please join us at the challenge :)

Magnolia Fairytale Snow White

I'm just so in love with this Fairytale collection :)
And so does my kids in class :) They want me to stamp them so they can color. It's just so much fun to see this! Will be using these stamps next year for the "fairytale"-project we will be doing at school. They are just perfect!

Anyways... here's a card I made with stamps from the Spring Stampkit and maskered them.

And a detailphoto...

Cardstock: Stampin; Up; Patterned paper: October Afternoon; Stamps: Magnolia (images) and StampingBella (sentiment); Flowers: Magnolia and Prima; Baubles: StampingBella; Ink: Memento; Stickles: Ranger; Coloring medium: Copics

Challenges:
- Just Magnolia: Anything goes

And luckily they had the stamps with them and yeah... bought a lot *oops*
Those stamps are just sooooooooo cute!

Here's a close-up of the card where you can see the glitter on her tiara and a bit on her skirt:

Sunday 11 April 2010

Have done some shopping :)

Friday evening I went to a scrapbookstore to follow a workshop by Tracy Hudson. It was a Prima workshop and already followed one about 2 years ago at the same store.
It was just great! I'm not someone that likes glitter and bling a lot, so it was quite of a shock to notice there was "some" bling in the kit.
(nevertheless I have to tell you I bought some of those "bling" flowers yesterday)
But.... I just sooooooo enjoyed it!

As I had to travel (by public transport, as I don't own a car and don't really need it either) a bit, I left work with a colleague of mine who had to travel the same direction.
Bought some dinner at the trainstation and had a marvelous evening untill... I had to go home that is.
Got the bus at about 10.05 pm, got the train at about 10.30, but had to change trains in Utrecht and there it was.... the train had some delay, 15 minutes. That's ok, but then they said it would take again 15 minutes before the train would leave, so I just took another train back home. I was home at 00.45 am!!!
Man, I was tired!
After 5 hours of sleep, my alarm went off so I could get the bus to get a car to Zeist, which is where the Art Specially Event was.

Still tired, I just sooooooooo loved the event!
Met loads of people (hi Lins, Angelina, Laura, Cora, Liezbeth, Rosita, Linda, and another one, sorry, can't remember your name...) and bought loads of cool goodies :)

It was extremely busy in the hall... terrible I can tell you! But there were so many cool shops!

First I went to the Magnolia-stand as I'm quite addicted to those stamps *lol*
Bought the newest stamps of the "fairytale"-collection. Really like them!
Also bought some flowers, other stamps, inks and papers.

Here it is :)

Have been playing around with some of the stamps already, so you will find those projects on my blog real soon :)

Anyways... I was really tired after the event. Left at about 6 pm and really enjoyed the day!
When I got home it was about 7.45 pm and felt really tired. Watched some tv and went sleeping.

Can't wait to go to the event next year!

Teddy Stampers' challenge card :)

Yahoo!!
This is the first card I made as a DT-member for the Teddy Stampers Challenge blog! :)

This time around the theme is "Spring".
Finally spring has settled itself overhere in The Netherlands. Flowers are blooming, trees are getting back their flowers and leaves. It's just a pretty sight.
But, last but not least, temperatures are getting much better :) We had a really cold and long winter, but I just loved it! Never seen so much snow for such a long time.
But now.... it's another great season... Spring!

And Spring stands for me for "new, fresh and flowers", so I used my newest Penny Black stamps and used some fresh papers of My Mind's Eye.

Go check out the other creations the DT-members have made, hop on over to the Teddy Stampers' blog and just make something nice in a spring-theme with a Teddybear stamp on it (yeah, it's a must to do this, otherwise you will be disqualified, sorry).

Stamp: Penny Black; Cardstock: Bazzill; Patterned papers: My Mind's Eye; Baubles: StampingBella; Ink: Memento; Coloring medium: Copics
