Papertrey Ink January bloghop

Hi there!

Sorry for my long, very long, absence, but have (and still am) ill.
Terrible sickness, pain in my ear, throat and during the last couple of days my back as well. Luckily it's getting better every day, but not that great though... ah well.. there are worse things in life!
Hi daar!

Back to topic... there's a Papertrey Ink bloghop going on at the moment and there's a challenge involved as well, which is the following:

This month, in honor of the new year, we are challenging you to pick your favorite project from 2011 and share it with all of us! To take it a step further, you are also challenged to create a second card that is inspired by the favorite project you select. Your new version of an old favorite could carry over the color scheme, the layout or the stamp sets. We look forward to seeing your best creations from 2011 as well as one of your first projects for 2012!

Back to topic.

So... here's one of my fave projects of last year. Really love the simplicity of the card, but so love the effect it gives.
Send this card last Christmas to some family and hopefully they have enjoyed the card as much as I liked making it!

And this is what I made of it this time. Totally different, but still the same shape and stitches :)
Used my newest paper (I'm already in love with this white cardstock!!! Loooooooove it!!), dies and stamps on this project (oh... I just looooooooove combining them!) and popped the image a bit with some 3d-foam.
At this moment this card will be heading to Canada :)
Thanks so much Elena for your sweet comment! I hope your sweetie will love it :) It's a pleasure to send it to you.

And a detailphoto...

Thank you very much for hopping with me :)
Go to Nichole's blog for some more inspiration.

See you all later (and hopefully I'm better by then!).

Gorgeous card, and isn't the white cardstock the best?

Love the red and green card - really great idea with the green on the side repeated in the trees! I have always loved red and green together.
